Dropbox
Import your Dropbox files into the AINexLayer knowledge base
What it does
Lets you pick files from Dropbox and index them into your AINexLayer knowledge base. After indexing, you can ask questions about those files in chat alongside your uploads and notes.
How it works
Dropbox is a file import source, not a live chat connector. It does not appear in the Connectors catalog or in API Playground.
You import files through Documents → Import → Dropbox. Selected files are copied into your workspace and indexed. The agent searches that indexed content when you ask in chat — it does not query Dropbox live on every message.
Import files
- Open the Documents sidebar in your workspace
- Click Import → Dropbox
- Sign in with your Dropbox account and allow access
- Browse and select the files or folders you want
- Wait for indexing to finish — imported files appear in your document list
Use in chat
After indexing completes, open Chat, type @, and pick the imported file from the mention list. Then ask your question.
The @ tag keeps the answer focused on that file. Without it, a normal question may miss the imported content.
Re-import when files change on Dropbox to keep answers up to date.
