How AINexLayer workspaces, documents, chat, and connectors fit together
AINexLayer is an AI workspace for knowledge and action. You bring documents and connected tools into a workspace; the chat agent answers from that context and can use connectors when you ask.
What you work with
| Piece | Role |
|---|---|
| Workspace | A separate space for documents, chats, team access, and model settings |
| Library / Documents | Files and folders the agent can retrieve from |
| Chat | Natural-language conversations with citations |
| Connectors | Live tools and account links (Slack, Google, scrapers, and more) |
| Models | Which LLM providers power chat in that workspace |
| Automations | Scheduled or triggered agent runs in the workspace |
How a typical flow works
- You create or open a workspace.
- You upload documents (or connect sources that import files).
- You ask questions in Chat. The agent retrieves relevant passages and answers with citations.
- You @mention a file or connector when you want a tighter focus.
- You open Connectors or the API Playground when you need live tools or to inspect scraper runs.
